04 maggio - St Louis

Con tanta calma questa mattina ho lasciato Nashville e sono arrivata a St. Louis a casa di Simone verso le 17 come previsto.
Già solo attraversando la città per raggiungere casa sua mi sarei fermata mille volte per fare foto: è una città bellissima!!!!






















Posato i bagagli e fatta una bella doccia fresca (non avevo mai sofferto tanto il caldo durante il viaggio....mai sudato tanto....non usando l'aria condizionata, poi...) siamo subito andati a fare un giro del quartiere: molto carino per l'architettura delle casette e anche molto vivo perché pieno di locali tutti col dehors: bar, yougurterie, ristoranti etnici e orientali (per noi italiani)....ce n'è veramente per tutti i gusti!

Ho preparato una bella lista di cose da vedere e domani sarà un lungo giorno!!!!

This morning I left Nashville with no stress! I reached St Louis and simone's house around 5pm as planned.
Just passing throu the town it's possible to understand how beautiful it is!
I left my baggages, took a fresh shouer (I've never soffered so much the weather as today!) and we went to make a little tour of the area: the small houses had very beautiful architectures and the roads were full of pubs and bars and restaurants! There are things for all tastes!
I've prepared a list of things to see and tomorrow will be a very long day!!!!

03 maggio - Nashville (Tennessee)

Ed eccomi di nuovo in Tennessee e di nuovo in una città vibrante di musica, il cuore pulsante del country!
Giusto 3 o 4 grattacieli e poi solo casette adibite a locali....
Anche qui, come a Memphis e New Orelans, nella via centrale, Broadway Street, ci sono decine di locali, uno attaccato all'altro e in tutti, ma proprio tutti, c'è qualcuno che suona. Dove ti giri, vedi o senti musica. Quasi ad ogni incrocio, ai semafori c'è un altoparlante da cui esce della musica (vedi foto).....guardate anche i "parcheggi" per le biciclette!!!! Affascinante!!!!

                                          

Questa scala era nel locale dove ho pranz...cen....merend....ho mangiato! :-)

Here I am again in Tennessee and again in a a musical city, THE musical city, the PULSEVE heart of country music!

There are about ten skyscreepers and the rest are little houses used as pubs...

Here, like in Memphis and New Orleans, in the main street, there are pubs, onw after the other and in every single one there was someone playing....all around was music. At the most crossing light there were music coming from boxes and....have you seen the bikes parking? Aren't they awasome?

02 maggio - Charleston / Atlanta

Non ho foto della giornata di oggi perché ci siamo alzate e subito partite per raggiungere l'aeroporto di Atlanta da dove mia mamma alle 18.20 è ripartita per tornare in Italia.
Adesso io sono in un motel in zona a riposare un pò, dato che ho guidato 6 ore e non ho quasi mai occasione di fermarmi se non per dormire, quindi.....ora mi faccio una bella doccia e vado a riposare.
Domani parto presto per raggiungere Nashville, visiterò la città e venerdì andrò a St. Louis dove mi fermerò un paio di giorni.

Ci vediamo presto sui vostri "personal" schermi!

I have no pictures of today 'cause as soon as we woke up we drove away to reach Atlanta's airport where my mum took the plane to fly back to Italy.

At the moment I'm in a motel close to it to relax a bit, as I drove for 6 hours and I a have few occasion to stop for other reason but to sleep, so.....now I take a great shower and I will go to bed.

Tomorrow I will leave early to go to Nashville, I will visit the town and Friday I will go for a couple of days to St. Louis.

01 maggio - Charleston (South Carolina)

Oggi siamo arrivate a Charleston all'ora di pranzo.

Abbiamo lasciato la macchina nel parcheggio di un supermercato, fatto un pranzo da re, anzi regine....

e poi abbiamo iniziato a camminare.....

Quasi subito abbiamo fatto un giretto su un trolley (pulmino gratis come quello presto a Miami).
Abbiamo quindi visitato il museo di storia della città: strutture in ferro battuto, catene e placche usate per gli schiavi, oggetti in madre perla, legno, argento, mobili, tessuti, armi, oggetti da cucina, da cucito, da farmacia e chirurgia che all'epoca non andava tanto per il sottile!!!!!

Poi abbiamo ricominciato a camminare: questa città ha come caratteristica principale l'architettura delle case, quindi si cammina col naso all'in su per ore...... 

Innanzitutto siamo entrate in un negozio di abbigliamento, non attirate dagli articoli in vendita, ma dal locale in cui questo è stato fatto: un ex teatro!!!! Non è bellissimo??? Io e mia mamma siamo state quasi mezz'ora a fare foto!!!!

Dopo ore di marcia abbiamo deciso di prendere di nuovo il trolley che ci portasse più vicino possibile alla macchina......quindi mia mamma si è seduta sulla panchina della fermata...

Today w arrived in Charleston around noon.
We left the car in a market parking, had a queens meal......and then we started to walk.


After a while we had a little tour on a trolley (as the one we took in Miami). Then we went to visit the Charleston Hustory Museum, where there is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i--n-g!: iron structures, chains and pins used for slaves, mother in the pearl, wood, silver objects, furnitures, tessues, guns, kitchen pbjects, pharmacy and chirurgique tools and at that time they were not so delicate!!!!!


After the museum we started to walk around the streets. This city has particular architectures, so you are oblijed to walk watching up for hours.....


First of all we went in a shop not because of the stuff they sold there, but because of the place: it was an old theater!!! Isn't it wonderful??? My mother and I took pictures for about half an hour!!!!


After hours of walking around we decided to tale the trolley again to go back to the car, so my mum set down to wait.....

30 aprile - Savannah (Georgia)

Questa mattina con calma siamo partite per raggiungere Savannah; poco più di 2 ore di viaggio.
Questa città è davvero molto carina, con alberi incredibili: hanno rami lunghissimi e sono ricoperti da muschio spagnolo. L'effetto è davvero particolare......

Al museo di storia di Savannah abbiamo scoperto che in questa città hanno girato il film Forrest Gump, infatti all'interno del museo c'era la famosa panchina, la famosa valigia e se andate a guardare le immagini che riguardano il film, alle sue spalle gli alberi hanno tutti la barba come quelli delle foto sopra!!!!!

Durante la nostra "passeggiata" di 5 ore abbiamo anche constatato la bellezza dei balconi, finestre ed inferriate in ferro battuto, che la mia guida aveva descritto con tanta enfasi.

E per finire una bellissima foto scattata da mia mamma che per fortuna se ne andrà fra 2 giorni, perché fa' foto troppo belle ed oscura le mie!!!!
